Federation and Empire series
Federation & Empire was first printed in 1986 by Task Force Games. There have been two major rules revisions since then, plus some more minor changes.
This is the strategic game for the Star Fleet Universe series of products.
Federation and Empire '86
Contained Rev-0 rulebook, 8 double-sided countersheets + 2 single sided ones for 1080 counters. Map comes in two sheets and used a black background.
Deluxe Federation and Empire
Rev-1, 2, or 3 rulebook, 12 double-sided countersheets (3 each of A, B, C, and D) + 2 single sided ones (E and F) for 1512 counters. Map was revised with larger hexes and was more colorful.
Federation & Empire 2K
The 2000 edition (Rev-4) is the current version of the game, published by Amarillo Design Bureau. The box is slightly bigger, and the countersheets are double the old size (A+B, C+D, and E+F). In 2004, there was a slight update with A+B and C+D being replaced by sheets One and Two. These have the counters sorted out so that the ones people might want more of only appear on Two, making the purchase of spares easier.
Also, all 2K products are available from ADB in "expanded" editions that come with extra countersheets.
Rev-4 (2K) rulebook, 6 double-sided + 1 single-sided countersheet.
F&E2K Expansions
In addition to the expansions that add new rules and scenarios, there are two other products:
Reinforcements (2004)
Extra countersheets from various products

Large Scale Map (2004)
