Fighting Fantasy Gamebook Series

Created by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson (II) (the British guy, not the American GURPS/CarWars/Illuminati guy), these are a series of "choose your own adventure" type, paperback books. The blurb on the back of each book reads something like:
