Help MyGeek Profile

If you are logged into the Geek, then selecting the "My Geek/Profile" option opens the User's Profile Notebook on the Games notebook tab. The notebook tabs are shown in the image below with the Games notebook tab selected.

The notebook has information about a user and his activity on the Geek system which are distributed across the notebook pages in a number of panes (a drawn box with stuff in it...). The notebook pages and the panes within them are listed below.

There are multiple panes which are repeated on the various notebook tabs.

If all of this weren't complicated enough, the Blog, and Gallery tabs don't really have panes, but the whole view is treated as if it were a "pane".

Alphabetical Pane List

Here is an alphabetical list of the "panes", the list of notebook tabs on which that pane appears, and a short explain of what the pane does. The notebook tabs are list in their order in the notebook going from right to left.

Pane Name	On Tabs	Function
Blog	Blog	Opens access to controls which allow the user to manipulate his blog.
BoardGameGeek Preferences	Games GeekStuff Interests Contributions Stats Guilds	This pane contains details regarding BoardGameGeek notifications and AdBlock settings.
Contributions by UserID	Contributions	This pane gives details to the contributions this user has given to the BoardGameGeek website.
Gallery	Gallery	Open's the User's Image Gallery Browser which shows the pictures the user has uploaded to his personal area. For the registered user this is the same as the toolbar menu option My Geek/Gallery.
Game Info for UserID	Games	Data on the user's collection such as owned, traded, sold, and wanted.
GeekBuddies	GeekStuff	This pane outlines who the user's current GeekBuddies are, and how many other users have the current user's profile on their GeekBuddies list.
GeekGold	GeekStuff	View credits, debits, balance of the GeekGold "bank" account.
GeekQuestions	GeekStuff	This pane shows the number of GeekQuestions the user has asked and answered.
Guilds	Guilds	Opens a forum browser, sorted by most recent post, of all the posts in all the Guilds.
Interests for UserID	Interests	This pane contains categorized interests about the user (Hobbies, Favorite Books, Favorite Music, Favorite Movies, and Favorite TV Shows).
Microbadges for UserID	Games GeekStuff Interests Contributions Stats Guilds	This pane is where Microbadges can be purchased using GeekGold and a listing of currently purchased items. Duplicates Buy Microbadges function in User Profile for UserID pane.
Other Ratings	Contributions	This pane illustrates the particular items (Images, Geeklists, Threads, Files, Articles Rated) on BoardGameGeek for which the user has given a Thumbs Up.
Statistics	Stats	Has controls to access nine different statistics about games for the user.
User Details for UserID	Games GeekStuff Interests Contributions Stats Guilds	This pane can contain further personal information about the user (Registration Date , Last Profile Update, Last Login Date, Country, State, Town/City, Website).
User Profile for UserID	Games GeekStuff Interests Contributions Stats Guilds	This pane is used for users to customize information which other users will be able to view. Users typically put in what brought them into gaming and what they do outside of board games. This section also is where a user may buy and edit their Avatar, GeekBadge, UberGeekBadge and Microbadges.

Suffice it to say that you do have to click on the appropiate Notebook Tab to gain access to the various panels as noted in the table above. However removing that level of abstraction makes it much easier to document the user interactions with panels in the Geek application.
