Igfip features multi-user interactive Web-based strategy games that you can play in real-time or asynchronously at whatever pace suits you and your opponent. You can have multiple game sessions active at the same time, watch other players play games, chat with other players, and even play against a computer opponent. The number of games that anyone can play for free at Igfip continues to grow--including Go, Chess, Reversi, Amazons, Ataxx, and Connect6 among others. Each game supports variable board sizes and obstructed squares.
In 2008, more abstract strategy board games will be added, but the service will focus also on challenging games in the Eurogame and Wargame genres as it publishes both original games and establishes partnerships with board game publishers. Also, a game construction kit will be made available for players to create and play any board game they desire. No special software is required. All you need is a Web browser.
