First published in 1995, and having been published many times thereafter,
Medici has stood the test of time. Enough so, that eleven years later, thematic and mechanical spinoffs started appearing. 2006 brought
Medici vs Strozzi, a two-player game with sufficient tricky decisions, while maintaining that familiar
Medici feel, to enable two players to compete for goods in their boats, somewhat as in the original. In 2008,
Strozzi came at the ships and goods from a different angle altogether.
