Background/notesThe Bluebeard clan has long been mining for important iron ores, as well as copper, tin and other metals. They are honest hard working folk, well regarded by the communities at large whom they trade with for their foodstuffs and other goods. Occasionally a small vein of silver or gold will be found in the digs, and the clan has some master blacksmiths and jewelers who make very nice items that are prized by their owners.

The clan has a tradition of sending out young dwarves to seek their fortune, and to come back with news of the greater world and to bring back what knowledge and artifacts as they can. Most return after a short time, content to settle underground and work the mines. Some come back after a long absence, neither richer or wiser. Some never come back at all and their fates can only be guessed at.

A lucky few however... Bartok hopes to be one of them.

Background/notes
Aldon presents himself as a brignt and personable fellow. Quick witted and well presented, he does his utmost to put his best foot forward when meeting new people. At the same time, he is quite evasive about his background and usually reveals very little substantive about himself in response to casual enquiries. Also, he has a deeply rooted sense of right and wrong, and when he sees things happen that go against his personal code, his cherful demeanour is quickly replaced by cold determination. He is well aware that this trait tends to get him in all manner of trouble, and tries to keep it in check, but often does a poor job of it.

He has been travelling from some time, more interested in getting away from the trouble at his heels than concern for his destination. But like any young man, he finds the lure of potential riches is a strong one. Even moreso because he is keen to leave his past behind him.

Background/notes
Cyrus Cooper, son of a renowned wooden bucket maker Arthur Cooper, grew up like many young lads working hard in his father's shop and then dreaming of adventure, while playing Guards and Goblins (much like Cowboys and Indians) with his 14 brothers and sisters.
On rare occasions, Cyrus would spend his free time with his uncle Trap-springer, a local rehabbed rogue turned locksmith due to his inability to actually find any traps before setting them off. Cyrus seemed to naturally pick up the trade and would love to take new locks home and practice picking them and show off his abilities to his friends. Sometime later, equipped with his uncle's adventure gear and a few coins in his pouch, Cyrus has made the decision to strike out on his own and see where the four winds take him.
