Same Game Policy
There is no official "same game policy", but there might be at some future point. The idea of such a policy would be a means by which to evaluate when two games should share the same game entry or have different ones. Games marked as candidate for merging or candidate for splitting are games where the current state is disputed.
The general rule, though not a strict policy, is that if the gameplay is identical or nearly so, and the components are functionally identical or nearly so, it is the "same game".
