Stress
1 2 3 4
Physical (endurance) O O O
Mental (conviction) ø ø O O
Social (presence) O O

If you suffer a stress you can spend an appropriate amount of stress points above. You can also reduce the stress by suffering a consequence first. Consequences create temporary aspects which can be invoked and compelled, the assailant will get a free tag of the newly created aspect. The consequence will eventually expire, when depends on the severity. Mild expires at end of the scene after the scene within which recovery starts. Moderate lasts until the end of the session after the session within which recovery starts. Severe lasts 2-3 sessions after recovery starts.

Background

Everyone calls his church a "cult," but what does that really mean? It's just a word they throw around. The Shepherd says it's just because they don't understand. And Terry can believe that. He believes everything the Shepherd says. And he's felt the power of the Universe flowing through his hands. Let them laugh.

Terry's Powers

Guide My Hand [–1]

By giving yourself over to your faith, you may sense the purpose the higher powers have in mind for you, guiding your hands (and your feet) to take you to where you are most needed.

Faith Manages. Given the time to pray for guidance and provided that your goals are pure and your actions are selfless, you may spend a fate point to use your Conviction skill instead of any other skill for one roll. This effect cannot be used for any attacks or maneuvers, but it can be used to bypass other kinds of obstacles.

Spiritual Guidance. You have a semi-conscious awareness of where you are needed most. Usually, this simply means you are guided to the right place at the right time. If the GM agrees that such a circumstance is in effect, you need not spend a fate point to stage a fortuitous arrival (page YS20). Sometimes this might work in reverse, allowing an ally to show up where you already are.

Extended background

Terry does not know where he is going, but he trusts his guide and in this is a perfect example of a fatalist. What is true and false of The Shepherd is for few to know, Terry's whole family is associated but it is unclear how important they are or why.
It is unclear if The Shepherd looks at things as good and evil. There is definitely Truth, but that can change and therefore reasons are not very important for the cult.

In school Terry typically follows the rules, he is used to follow rules since The Shepherd gives him rules. If someone says something it is probably true. Lying is such an inefficient waste of time, Terry tells the truth immediately, and if it is true it cannot be hurtful, right? Why would it be?

Personal Question

'What would the Shepherd think of what you’re doing tonight? Would you be proud or ashamed to tell him?'
What are we doing tonight? On one hand we are doing it to impress our peers, I heard Dana is coming, she is hot 'and' rich, but a bit rude to me but so is everyone, it is like they do not like hearing the truth. On the other hand we are entering a dark place to find the light of truth therein which sounds like something the Shepherd would say. There can be nothing wrong with that, and it also makes no sense even to me so it is probably that we are trying to impress the ladies, yeah.

So what if someone gets hurt tonight? Either physically by a deteriorated beam hitting someone in the head or socially like the time I peed my pants in the school bus when we were stuck in traffic? There is nothing that is so broken that it cannot be fixed, or if it is, well then it is not worth looking at.

Regardless of what happens tonight I will be proud to retell the story to the Shepherd. Sometimes we are rewarded for doing the forbidden, but I wont tell you about that, the Shepherd is all for the fifth when it comes to lying through omission. But when we do say something it is the truth. Lying is so shallow and such an inefficient way to communicate, unless you always lie, because then you know that but that is pretty obvious.

Personal aspects

My stab at aspects (I saw the format on the example page but I am curious if this format is ok):

'Sees light in darkness'
Being guided allows him to sometimes see a way out hairy situations, succeeding by grabbing the bull by the horns or finding the calm at the center of the storm.

This also applies to people. He does not care if a person is mean to him, there is something in there that can listen or can act in a nice way. This might make him seem empathic, but he really is not able to pick up individual hints he treats everyone the same.

This aspect also makes him fearless of danger as he thinks there is a light at the center of everything. This is not always true, but Terry does not know yet, does not want to believe that.

'I can fix that'
Skilled in carpentry and to a limited extent other aspects of home constructions such as plumbing and electrical installation Terry can fix everything. Well, except the times when it was so broken that it could not be fixed, but hey, then it was broken anyway so no hurt in trying except when you get electrocuted...
