Android: Netrunner is one of those rare game where each player has her own supply of game components. Because of this, we are able to play opponents over the internet in real time using webcams!

This guild facilitates playing Android: Netrunner online via webcam in conjunction with Skype or Google Hangouts.

The idea is to schedule and create "Crash Spaces" - places in cyberspace to allow runners and corporation representatives alike to come and run against each other.

Of course, one-off matches between two people can just as easily be scheduled. If you are free on a day, post a note in the Off-topic forum with your connection information and when you are free.

Required Hardware

  • A desk microphone or full headset
  • Video Chat software such as Skype, Google Hangouts, etc...
  • A webcam
  • A small clear flat playing surface
  • The ability to point the webcam down at the playing surface

Have some free time and looking for an opponent?

If you know you'll have some free time in the near future, announce the time, date, and how you want to play (Skype, Google Hangout) by posting in the Off-Topic forum. Even if it's only a few hours away, it's possible another guild member will be free.

Scheduling a Crash Space

A Crash Space is a more formal meetup. It's a a group of two or more Android: Netrunner players jacked-in and gathered at a pre-planned time and location in cyberspace.

To schedule a Crash Space:
  • Decide if you will be using Skype or a Google Hangout
  • Announce the time, date, and location for the Crash Space by posting in the Off-Topic forum.
  • Use the Time Zone Converter and post all times in GMT/UTC
  • Include your Skype handle or URL of the the Google Hangout so other players can find the Crash Space.
  • Add an entry to the calendar so people can schedule their time to join.
