Quintet is best known for their Soul Blazer series, also known as the "Gaia Trilogy" despite being a quartet of games.

They released "Soul Blazer" in 1992, followed it up with "Illusion of Gaia" in 1993, and then "Terranigma" in 1995 (the Japanese name for which is "Tenchi Souzou" or "The Creation of Heaven & Earth").

At this point a new development house was created including many members of Quintet: Shade. They developed "The Granstream Saga", which is often forgotten as part of the Soul Blazer series.
