User Summary
Two Worlds is a series of fantasy role-playing games that take place in an open world called Antaloor. The world is covered in various continents, islands, and archipelagos that support savannahs, deserts, forests, jungles, and plains that are inhabited by a host of creatures such as naga, undead, dinosaurs, werebeast, giant invertebrate, fish men, animated household items, ect. The sentient races of the land include humans, olorum (mutated humans), grom (goblin-like creatures), varn (jackal-men), and the nearly extinct dragons, orcs and elves. The cultures of the land range anywhere from tribal to medieval or even Japanese-like.
The games fallow the Hero of Antaloor, an unnamed man in search of his kidnapped sister Kyra. His arch-nemesis and the emperor of Antaloor, Gandohar is responsible and needs Kyra’s body to seal away the fire god Aziraal with whom he had foolishly bargained with. One of the last remaining dragons in the guise of a horned woman named Cassara saved the few remaining orcs of the battle of Gor Gammar and together enlisted the help of the Hero of Antaloor. Unbeknownst to both the hero and orcs the dragon Cassara sought to free Aziraal to revive her species. Hearing of the hero’s great deeds he was kidnapped by pirates who sought his help in reuniting the body and soul of the captain while searching for a legendary treasure upon the flying fortress.
Unlike most role-playing games Two Worlds is known for not pigeonholing the player into a class such as a warrior, archer, mage, ect and instead allows the player to put their experience points into which ever play style suits them and at any time erase and redistribute their experience points. All games in the Two Worlds series use teleports as a means to fast travel and horses have also had a presence in all games thus far as a means of transportation but have been plagued with clumsy controls. The games have become notorious for their terrible voice acting and good sense of humor about themselves such as how Two World II often pokes fun at the glitches and voice acting of Two Worlds.
